About Me
Lew Tau Fei is a Malaysian artist, graphic designer, and educator with over 20 years of experience in advertising agencies and design consultancy firms. He obtained his graphic design education from Saito Academy of Art and resides in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He teaches at Dasein Academy of Art and co-founded The Kern Design.
In addition to his design work and teaching, Tau Fei is deeply committed to nurturing the artistic community. He founded Artsowers in 2008 and Trilogue in 2012, providing platforms for artists to collaborate and showcase their work. He has participated in and organized exhibitions in Malaysia and abroad as an organiser and curator.
Tau Fei's distinctive and bold contemporary designs reflect unwavering conviction, deep emotion, and strong beliefs. His work has garnered wide recognition and has been featured in various media outlets in Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Shanghai, and Hong Kong and published in international design books.
He has won multiple awards, and some of his work has been selected for prestigious international exhibitions and competitions worldwide, including the Ten Images of Ithaca in Greece, the Creativity International Award in the United States, the Moscow Global Biennale of Graphic Design Golden Bee, the Peru International Design Biennial, the Narbut 100 Poster Competition in Ukraine, Posters on Politics in the United States, The International Ocean Art Festival in Korea and China, The 1st B.I International Poster Art Biennale in Korea, Posterists in the World in Peru, the XI International Triennial of Ecological Poster "the 4th Block" in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Top 100 Posters at Madrid Gráfica in Spain, PosterFest03 in Hungary, the 17th International Poster Biennial in Mexico, and The International Cyprus Poster Triennial. He has also been invited to exhibit in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.
