About Me
Hello, I am Philip Thong. I have about 24 years of working experiences in the USA and Malaysia. My previous jobs include TV animation (storyboards), gaming edutainment (2D animation & background layouts), advertising (graphic design) and e-Learning (powerpoint modules). I’m looking for full-time employment in the visual arts/illustration / graphic design/animation industry.
My most recent employment was as the Creative Manager /Head of the Creative Department at a renowned franchise company, managing a team of ten designers to create all the necessary creative work for the company like print and digital advertisements, subject courses, murals, etc. Due to the pandemic, the company was unfortunately hit financially and many staff employees had to be retrenched, myself included.
Therefore, I’m hereby seeking full-time employment where my skills and experience can be utilised.Some of my skills include working with the Adobe Creative Cloud software applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate (Flash), Audition, Captivate and Acrobat, as well as the Microsoft Office applications like Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
I’m passionate in art, sports, movies and mobile games. I’m also motivated, reliable and competent to get any task done well and on time.
One of the biggest challenges I’m facing now is trying to get employment which has been difficult because not many companies are hiring but I have learnt to persevere and push through this ordeal.
