SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Analyst

1. Data Preparation & Analysis
Gather, analyze, and validate legacy system data to be migrated into SAP S/4HANA.
Identify data quality issues (duplicates, missing fields, inconsistent values) and coordinate with business users to fix them.
Perform data cleansing and enrichment activities.
2. Data Mapping & Transformation
Map legacy data fields to SAP S/4HANA target fields (Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, Purchase Orders, etc.).
Work with functional consultants (MM, SD, FI, PP, etc.) to define transformation rules.
Ensure compliance with business rules and master data governance.
3. Migration Tools & Execution
Use SAP migration tools such as LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit), Direct Transfer, BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services), or LSMW (if still used for ECC).
Develop templates, load programs, and execute data load cycles in test and production environments.
Troubleshoot errors during migration and provide resolutions.
4. Testing & Validation
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and cutover rehearsals for migrated data.
Validate data accuracy post-migration with business stakeholders.
Prepare reconciliation reports to ensure completeness and correctness of migrated data.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain data mapping documents, migration strategy documents, and error logs.
Provide status updates to project managers and leads.
Document best practices and lessons learned for future rollouts.
6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams.
Act as a bridge between legacy data owners and SAP implementation team.
Support go-live and hypercare activities by resolving data-related issues quickly.
🎯 Key Skills Required
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data objects (Material Master, Vendor, Customer, BOM, etc.).
Experience in SAP Migration Cockpit, BODS, LSMW, or equivalent tools.
SQL/Excel skills for data cleansing & validation.
Understanding of end-to-end business processes (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report).
Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
