Online Course Creator & Writer

We're an up-and-coming virtual e-learning platform providing courses in a few different formats, including Articles. Most of the topics will be around AI, tech and innovations with varying levels of difficulties.

The role:

We're looking for freelance writers to develop new courses. You'd take a topic, work out what a busy professional actually needs to walk away with, and write it so they can use it that afternoon.

For each course you'd deliver:

  • A chaptered read version, roughly 6 to 18 minutes of reading
  • The interactive card version of the same material
  • A 5-question quiz
  • Any tables, comparisons or diagrams the course needs (our design team handles the visuals, you supply the structure and content)

What we'd want you to write about

We commission across five areas: Foundation (AI basics), Marketing & Design, BD & Lead Generation, HR & Operations, and Building with AI. Tell us which of these you know well from actual work, not from reading about it.

What we're looking for

  • You use AI tools in real work and can talk about where they fall short, not just where they shine
  • You write plainly. No jargon, no hype, no filler
  • You can turn a broad topic into something specific enough to act on
  • You're comfortable being told a draft is too vague, and fixing it

Two things we're firm on:

1. We're tool-neutral and model-neutral. We recommend tools on merit and we name their weaknesses. If a course reads like an ad for one platform, it doesn't ship.

2. Our courses are written by people, not generated. Use AI to research, outline, and check yourself, the same as we all do. But the thinking, the examples and the voice have to be yours. We can tell, and so can our learners.

Nice to have

  • Experience teaching, training, or writing documentation
  • A portfolio of explanatory writing (newsletters, docs, guides, internal training)
  • Bi-lingual, English and Chinese preferred - but the primary language will be English.
