Wellcom Worldwide is seeking an experienced Image Editor with retouching/image editing skills to join our Kuala Lumpur production studio.

This role supports a world-leading art and luxury client, delivering high-volume, high-quality artwork and image production across print, digital, and campaign assets. You’ll work onsite with studio leads and account teams across London, New York, Paris, and Hong Kong.

This would suit someone who is used to retouching large volumes of images under pressure and working in a fast-paced, color-specific production environment rather than high-end, creative retouching. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

● You will carry out a range of light to heavyweight retouching, ranging from simple cleaning of images to full-scale retouching, color correction, comping images, and removal of items.

● Edit, color match, and retouch images to a variety of media outputs such as print (CMYK), web (RGB), as well as virtual and tablet formats.

● Responsible for image file management for a number of images at once, ensuring all work is completed within strict deadlines.

● Responsible for image distribution and quality control of images sending & returning from our offshore partners and other global image editing teams.

● Work closely with our Photographers and wider studio teams to ensure an efficient and constantly refined process from capture to approved imagery is followed.

● Work closely with our clients' specialist teams, gaining approval of assets

Experience & Skills

● Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a production retouching environment.

● Proficient in both CMYK and RGB environments for litho print and web.

● Very experienced in Photoshop

● Good organisational and communication skills.

● A working knowledge of InDesign would be advantageous.

● Understanding of colour management, monitor calibration, and color proofing would be advantageous.

● Understanding of photography and video capture would be advantageous.

● Experience of using a Wacom tablet.

● Experienced in the Mac environment.

● Must have a good knowledge of Outlook, Google, Excel, and Bridge.

● Used to working with a high volume of images under strict deadlines.

● Ability to re-prioritize and respond to changing demands.

● Whilst a good team player must be capable of working under their own initiative.

● Be prepared to work extended hours to meet deadlines at short notice.

● Knowledge of project management systems such as Monday.com would be advantageous.

● Knowledge of DAM systems would be advantageous.

● An interest in Art would be advantageous.
