The Team
At Mattel South Asia, the Consumer Products team expands our beloved brands like Barbie and Hot Wheels into everyday categories—from fashion to school supplies—through strategic licensing and retail partnerships, deepening consumer engagement across the region.
The Opportunity
This is a contractual role as a Consumer Products - Creative Coordinator where you will be tasked to provide creative coordination and operational support to the Licensing Team, ensuring brand-aligned product development and seamless collaboration with licensees, agencies, and internal teams across Southeast Asia & India.
What Your Impact Will Be
1.. Creative Operation Support
Serve as the primary creative liaison between Mattel’s regional/global teams, licensees, and agencies, ensuring all designs (products, packaging, marketing) comply with brand guidelines, provide creative guidance and support to agencies to ensure smooth progress and resolve issues promptly.
- Distribute style guides, asset libraries, and creative toolkits to licensees.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on licensee product designs, packaging, and marketing materials to ensure brand consistency and market relevance
- Assist in trend research to support licensee innovation (e.g., color palettes, material selections).
2. Product Development Coordination
- Work closely with licensees’ design and product development teams, guiding them on Mattel’s creative direction and market trends.
- Oversee the product submission process, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely approvals.
- Follow up with agencies/ licenses on the monthly product development, retail, and launch report.
- Track and manage product samples, ensuring they meet quality and brand standards.Identify and share creative improvement opportunities with licensees to enhance product appeal.
3. Marketing & Retail Activation Coordination
- Coordinate licensing events, pop-ups, and e-commerce campaigns (on-ground and digital).
- Support local market activations, including retail merchandising and promotional material approvals.
