Creative Writing Director

1. Job Description

We're looking for a senior creative voice — someone who doesn’t just write well, but thinks strategically, leads with clarity, and sets a high standard for storytelling and tone across everything we do. As our Creative Writing Director, you’ll serve as the guiding force behind our brand voice, mentoring our writing team, collaborating closely with our Creative Director, and helping shape conceptual work from the ground up.

2. Roles & Responsibilities

Creative Role

  1. Sets the creative direction for all creative writing and ensures the creative direction is aligned with agency’s goal and vision.
  2. Involves in major discussions or brainstorming sessions in order to curate brand stories or narratives that sell.
  3. Works hand-in-hand with copywriters and creative team in developing new ideas or concepts.
  4. To inspire art directors, and other creative professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and creative solutions.

Management Role

  1. To lead the copywriting team, to foster their growth and ensure the successful execution of projects.
  2. Uphold high standards of creative excellence, constantly exploring ways of improvement and ensure the quality and consistency of creative deliverables.


3. Requirements

  • Preferably 10 years and above of creative writing experience (property field is a bonus)
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of writing styles and conceptual thinking across campaigns and platforms
  • Exceptional command of language, tone, narrative flow, and voice
  • Experience working within creative teams (agency or in-house)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — you can sell an idea and defend a sentence
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically
  • Team leader and solid management experience
  • Constantly seeking for innovative ideas and improvement and open minded to new ideas/ suggestions/ opinions
  • High emotional intelligence, able to handle problems and people well
  • Willing to go extra mile for the better of the job and be aligned with company’s vision
