Dasein Illustration Final Gradshow: Ingredient Unknown

Step into a world of colour, imagination, and discovery at Ingredient Unknown, the Illustration Final Graduation Exhibition by Dasein Academy of Art.
Happening from 29 October to 8 November 2025 at Millerz Square, Kuala Lumpur, this showcase features 40 graduating illustrators presenting their final-year masterpieces — each a unique “ingredient” contributing to one creative feast.

The theme Ingredient Unknown celebrates individuality and collaboration, where every artwork adds its own flavour to the mix. Expect to see a diverse range of illustration styles — from playful character designs to conceptual storytelling — all highlighting the fresh perspectives of Malaysia’s next generation of illustrators.

Adding more flavour to the event, there will be creative workshops and artist talks throughout the exhibition period. Visitors can learn directly from students and industry guests, gaining insights into illustration techniques, storytelling, and the business of creativity.

At the centre of this year’s showcase is MIB (Monster in Basket) — the event’s mascot and symbol of curiosity and discovery. MIB represents the spirit of exploration that drives every artist to experiment with the “unknown.”
