About Me

Aie's background in animation is deep-rooted with over 28 years of experience in the field. His passion for art and animation drove him to establish his own studio, where he focuses on developing the local animation industry in Malaysia and elevating the country's reputation as a center for creative content and animation. Aie's multifaceted roles include producer, animation director, hand-drawn animator, and currently as lecturer at Asia Pacific University, Malaysia.

In 2011, Aie was honored with the prestigious titles of 'Best Animation Director' and 'Best 2D Animator' at the Malaysian Animation Awards, showcasing his exceptional talent and expertise in the field. A testament to Aie's dedication and skill in animation is his recent accomplishment in producing his first animated short film, titled "The Pillar of Strength”, stands out for its portrayal of the ancient’s culture and traditions of indigenous communities and their ancestors, reflecting Aie's commitment to storytelling and cultural representation through animation.

Aie’s film has received acclaim internationally, won more than 25 awards at esteemed film festivals such as the Los Angeles Animation Festival (LAAF), Focus International Film Festival in Las Vegas, Bulgaria's FEMI Golden Film Festival, Canadian International Motion Picture Awards, Japan's Golden Harvest Film Festival, United Kingdom European Film Festival, Romanian Cinematic European Film Festival, Global Short Film Awards in Cannes, Maria Luisa Film Festival in Spain and many more.
