ASIA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY: 5th March 2026, Rtist Creative Platform conducted a Student Profiling Workshop at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together aspiring creatives who are preparing to enter the professional industry.
Held from 1:30PM to 3:30PM, the session gathered 17 students from the fields of Industrial Design, Animation, and Visual Effects. The workshop was designed to help students better understand how creative talents can position themselves in today’s evolving job market, while also guiding them through the process of building their professional presence on Rtist Creative Platform.
Understanding the Creative Job Market

The session began with an introduction to the creative industry landscape and how companies are currently discovering and hiring creative talents. With the increasing demand for digital content, brands and agencies are constantly seeking designers, animators, illustrators, and visual storytellers who can contribute fresh ideas and creative solutions.
During the workshop, students were introduced to how Rtist functions as a bridge between creative talents and companies. The platform allows businesses to search for creative professionals based on their portfolios, skill sets, and project experiences. For students and fresh graduates, this means their work can be discovered by potential employers even before entering the workforce full-time.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of digital presence for creative professionals today. A well-structured online portfolio is no longer optional—it is one of the most critical tools for showcasing a creative’s abilities and attracting opportunities.
Building Their Student Profiles

A key highlight of the workshop was the hands-on profile creation session. Students were guided step-by-step on how to create their profiles on the Rtist platform, including how to present their skills, portfolio projects, and creative specialties.
Many students used the opportunity to upload their works, ranging from product design concepts and industrial prototypes to animated works and visual effects projects. The interactive environment allowed students to ask questions, refine their portfolio presentation, and better understand what employers typically look for when reviewing creative profiles.
Beyond simply uploading projects, the workshop also emphasized how students can position themselves strategically. Topics such as portfolio storytelling, selecting the right projects to showcase, and highlighting personal creative strengths were discussed to help students build profiles that stand out.
The session also encouraged students to think about their long-term creative journey—from internships to freelance collaborations and eventually full-time employment. By starting their profiles early, students are able to gradually build a professional portfolio that evolves alongside their academic projects and industry experience.
Engaging Conversations and Industry Insights

Throughout the two-hour workshop, the students were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions about entering the creative industry, the expectations of hiring companies, and how to prepare themselves for their first professional roles.
The diversity of students from Industrial Design, Animation, and Visual Effects also created a dynamic discussion environment, as each discipline brings different creative approaches and career pathways.
Workshops like this serve as an important step in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, ensuring students are better prepared for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
Supporting the Next Generation of Creatives

Rtist remains committed to supporting creative students and emerging talents by providing them with the tools and platforms needed to showcase their work and connect with potential employers.
By starting early and building strong professional profiles, students are able to enter the job market with greater confidence and visibility.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the lecturers and faculty members at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation for their support in making this workshop possible. Their dedication to nurturing creative talents and providing students with valuable industry exposure continues to play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of creative professionals.
