Petaling Jaya, 5–7 December 2025 — MAHSA Avenue PJ became a creative hotspot over the weekend as INTI International University held its annual Student Design Showcase, featuring works from 125 graduating students across diploma and degree programmes. Running daily from 10AM to 8PM, the three-day exhibition drew visitors ranging from industry professionals and potential employers to families, alumni, and design enthusiasts.

The showcase brought together students from multiple creative disciplines, including Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, 3D Animation, Interior Design, and other related fields. Spread across a spacious exhibition hall, the event served as both a culmination of the students’ academic journey and a platform to introduce emerging Malaysian creative talent to the industry.
A Strong Showing in Graphic Design
One of the most visited sections at the showcase was the Graphic Design exhibition area. Students presented a wide variety of work, including branding systems, packaging prototypes, poster campaigns, publication layouts, and social advocacy designs.

Many projects stood out for their strong conceptual foundations, with students addressing topics such as environmental responsibility, community building, heritage conservation, and digital ethics.

Industry visitors noted the level of detail and professionalism in the presentation boards, with several projects demonstrating market-ready brand applications. This year’s showcase reflected INTI’s emphasis on strategic thinking, not just visual execution — a trend that attendees can expect to see continue in future years.
Innovation at the Multimedia & 3D Animation Zone
The Multimedia and 3D Animation segment offered a dynamic contrast, capturing attention with motion graphics reels, animated shorts, immersive VR experiences, and interactive interface designs. Screens across the exhibition looped various digital showcases, highlighting students’ technical mastery and storytelling capabilities.

We even met up with Yassier, An Immersive Designer who was part of the previous INTI Design Showcase, Got Chew!

Notably, several projects involved game design concepts and character animations that showcased industry-standard workflow and creativity. Visitors could be seen engaging directly with students to understand the tools and techniques used, underscoring INTI’s commitment to integrating modern digital production skills into its curriculum.
Interior Design: Function Meets Aesthetics
A dedicated section of the hall was reserved for Interior Design projects, featuring large boards displaying rendered visuals, floor plans, lighting studies, and material boards. From commercial retail proposals to residential designs and community-oriented spaces, students demonstrated how they combined functionality, user experience, and environmental considerations.

Industry professionals praised the practicality of the solutions presented. Many projects incorporated sustainable practices, biophilic elements, and accessible design — reflecting current trends in the interior design landscape.
A Platform for Dialogue and Industry Readiness
What set this showcase apart was the emphasis on student interaction. Exhibitors were actively presenting and defending their work throughout the event, engaging in discussions with visitors and receiving direct feedback. This approach allowed employers and industry partners to gauge not only the students’ design abilities but also their communication skills, professionalism, and readiness for real-world projects.

The showcase also served as a valuable networking opportunity, with several companies using the event to scout potential interns and entry-level designers. INTI’s continued focus on industry exposure was evident, reinforcing the institution’s positioning as a bridge between academic training and professional practice.
Celebrating the Next Generation of Creatives
As the final day concluded on 7 December, the showcase successfully highlighted the creativity, discipline, and resilience of INTI’s 2025 graduating cohort. More than just a graduation milestone, the event demonstrated the capabilities of young designers prepared to enter Malaysia’s creative industry.

For attendees, the showcase offered both inspiration and insight; for students, it marked the beginning of a new chapter. And for INTI, it solidified its annual showcase as an essential platform for celebrating creative education and preparing future talents for industry demands.
