About Me

I am a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Translation with Interpreting (major) & Communication (minor) from Universiti Sains Malaysia with six year experience (full-time, part-time and freelance) as a translator, subtitling translator, copywriter, writer, proofreader, editor as well as the personal assistant.

I have vast experience in translation, editing, subtitling, writing, proofreading, copy writing and voice-over acting through my past works be it with local or international clients such as AXA Affin General Insurance, Crown Records Management, Häagen-Dazs, Domino’s Pizza, Mingguan Malaysia, Backpackerz, Catch That Bus and many more.

I had been involved in many projects and was able to fulfill the entire job’s requirements at the most successful level. My tasks consisted of developing and updating media lists, creating and executing editorial calendars and completing research assignments that focused on lifestyle, gastronomy, travel, insurance, takaful, human resources and business on Vitdaily, Makan Sedap, Catch That Bus, Kaki Sini, Mingguan Malaysia and Backpackerz magazine.

My biggest achievement in writing and editing industry - I was appointed as freelance content marketing consultant for Mi Sedaap (Gentle Supreme Sdn. Bhd) to do their content marketing campaign for their Independent Day and Malaysia Day 2016’s campaigns.

For the biggest achievement in writing competition, I have been selected as one of the winners for the best travel write-up organized by Backpackerz magazine in 2017. My travel article is about Danushkodi, an unsung ghost town in Tamil Nadu, India.

As a person who is passionate about translation, localization, writing, editing, subtitling, journalism and media relations publicity, I am always taking my own time to get to know deeper about the area. I will always do my own research through internet as well as by reading through the latest articles and magazines just to get myself the latest update of the area.

I am an avid traveler and travelling is my passion/hobby. By travelling, I learn how to communicate better with other people especially to areas where my native language is not widely used. Brushing up my knowledge on the most commonly used phrases or questions tourists ask can help me reach out to and relate better with the locals. It helps me to boost my confidence to mingle around with my circle.

Travelling helps me to connect with different people from different cultures. This gives me the opportunity to see issues and daily life challenges from a different angle. All I can say, I am very open-minded person now.

During travelling I will meet people that are very different from you. If you travel enough, you will learn to accept and appreciate these differences. Traveling makes you more open and accepting. That is my personality now.
