About Me

I am Nurhanan, a freelance translator from Malaysia. I am a native Malay speaker and I have been in this field since 2016. My translation skills are certified as "Excellent" (the highest grade) by the Malaysian Institute of Translation and Books. I am able to manually translate up to more than 7000 words per day.

My experience in the translation field spans from translating articles for online news portals, health and medical articles including topics on pertussis, viral fever, vaccination, diarrhea, mental health, pneumonia, pregnant women, pre and post natal care, parenting, nutrition and diet for pregnant women and infants (in which all required me to find accurate translations for medical jargons and terms) for the Ministry of Health and organisations such as Positive Parenting, advertorials and press releases for brands such as Vitagen, Dugro, and Marigold, legal documents for the Malaysian Rubber Board, video subtitles for Petronas, training and instructional contents for companies such as Nike and Garmin through SDL Trados, translation and quality check for Samsung and Novocure through Transperfect, web contents for companies such as Bitmex, product information for Alibaba, subtitle translation and quality check for various TV shows through SDI Media, to translating documents for small projects such as university assignments, program brochures, and also restaurant flyers. With my experience, it definitely wouldn't be a problem for me to quickly learn new instructions, requirements and deliver an excellent turnaround for any translation project you assign me. With my experience, I provide translations that read and sound as natural as possible in the Malay language.

As a passionate freelancer, I like keeping the tasks I have at hand on track by being productive and flexible. These two traits have always helped me in keeping my clients happy by delivering my work on time. I also carry my laptop everywhere so that I will be able to work anywhere. Generally, when I do any translation job, I will make sure to pay attention to detail, suitability, and accuracy so that the end product will glide smoothly and naturally in the target language when one reads it.
